To you set your internet radio to another location/area, you will have to do the same thing you did at your place when you first set your Victor Stream up for your own internet radio. Don’t worry about having to reset your internet radio at your place again as your Victor should still be able to recognize your own router info even after you’ve put other location information onto your machine. .
There are also some things you need to know about using letters and numbers on your key-pad. I will also be sending you the phone pad numbers and the letters that correspond to those numbers. And of course, you may share this info with your Skype group members.
Instructions,
First, turn on your machine.
1 Press the number 7 on your key pad. Your voice will say: “Menu wireless, air-plane mode off”.
2 Press the number 8 twice; you will hear: “Scan for available connections.”
3 Then press the Pound sign (which is to the right of the 0 on your number pad.) You will then hear an SSID number for a given area read back to you.
4 Press Pound again. The phrase, “Signal strength, enter password” will be heard.
5 You will then press the sequence of numbers that make up the letters for the pass-word in a given area on your key-pad; so, wherever you are, you will need to ask for their Router’s password any time you want to set up your internet radio in a different location.
6 Then press pound. You will then be told to “Please wait.”; that message will then be followed by the phrase: “Now connected to”.
7 Then press Pound sign again to leave that area blank instead of having to worry about putting in a Pass-word. Once these steps have been taken, you will have your internet radio set up for a given area.
Caution:
As there may be times when pass-words may have combinations of letters and numbers, you will need to reset your Victor’s key-pad from letters to numbers.
When entering a pass-word, numbers follow letters. For example, if you press the number 2 three times, that makes the letter c; however, quickly pressing the number 2 four times, you then get the numeral digit 2. To get the numbers 7 and/or 9, you’d quickly press the numbers 7 and/or 9 five times because the number 7 corresponds to the letters: p q r s and the number 9 (which corresponds to the letters: w x y z.
So, a pass-word containing the letters: s and the number 7, would be written as,
7777 followed by the number 7 pressed five times.
General information,
The Caps (upper case) key is the book-mark button (which is the button above the number 3 on your Victor’s pad.)
The At (@) sign on your Victor Stream pad is: 0 pressed three times. When asked for a pass-word, you can get to the At (@) sign from the Pass-word edit field by hitting sleep-timer once.
Also remember that quickly pressing the sleep button (which is right above the Play button), acts as a toggle. Doing this will put you in Key Discriber mode.
Key-pad numbers and corresponding letters,
The number 2 is a b c
Number 3 is d e f
Number 4 is g h i
Number 5 is j k l
Number 6 is m n o
Number 7 is p q r s
